Tiger's Back - 2010 Masters

Tiger will return and end his self-imposed "indefinite break" from golf April 8 by playing in the Masters.

PGA has got to love it, ratings will probably go through the roof! Three-time major champion Ernie Els said Woods "will be embraced by the players" when he returns. Woods' fellow pros know how the PGA Tour has capitalized on the "Tiger Effect," which has boosted prize money from $65.95 million in 1996 to $279.8 million this year.

What will the fans think? I'am sure the reaction will be mixed, but you cannot deny his golfing skills exceed most of the players. Will Elin be there? Tiger say's he is trying to salvage his marriage Love

After my recent trip to the Doral and the lack of people attending, I'm sure the PGA can't wait for Tiger's return. It's going to be a media frenzy, hope they have extra security. I know I'll be watching the Master's this year, it will probably be one of the most memorable in history.

I think it is great for the game of golf, viewership goes up 50% with Tiger, there are more sponsors, more golf product sales, etc. It will be a media frenzy, but the best thing is that the industry, the sport, and the other players will enjoy success with Woods back in the game, not to mention the fans enjoy seeing him play the game. I hope him and his wife Elin can repair their marriage, but no one knows but them.

Heard on the news this morning Tiger is to be scheduled early before ESPN starts covering the tournament so he's not on TV. What was the point of him coming back if he's not going to be telivised. Too much politics even in golf, rediculous!

I'm anxious to see how he actually golfs, not to see the media circus surrounding it. At reporter on WGN in Chicago said they saw him play this past Monday at Augusta and it wasn't pretty.

Tiger Woods definitely did talk a great game in his media meeting regarding appearing more respectful to golf, although his actions spoke significantly louder than his words as soon as he missed the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Tiger could have produced a huge amount of good will by participating in this tournament. Arnie would certainly have handled everything which he could have for helping present Tiger in the best light, yet rather Tiger decides to discount one of the legends of the sport and do his own personal thing. All the best with the Masters, Mister Woods. Great job to Ernie Els, plus I am hoping you also do well in Augusta.
